Street Dance

Street Dance incorporates various dance styles including hip hop, breaking, house and funk styles such as popping and locking. It originated in the 1970s and developed in outdoor urban areas and nightclubs eventually making it's way in to dance studios. This commercial version can be seen in pop and R&B music videos. 

This is a fun and energetic class with technical exercises in each of the main Street Dance styles taken from the UDO Academy syllabus. You'll also learn a routine over the course of the term with a new section being added each week so you can join any time! In the second half of the class you get the opportunity to try out basic breaking moves and put together your own mini routine using your new skills.
